NexEra App User Manual

NexEra is a powerful no-code development platform that allows you to create, manage, and run Bluetooth-enabled and IoT applications. This user manual provides a comprehensive overview of the app's key features and how to use them effectively.

Launching the App

When you open NexEra, you'll be presented with the splash screen followed by the App-Hub interface where you can select existing applications or get a new ones.

App-Hub

The App-Hub is your central dashboard for managing applications:

• Browse all your installed applications in a grid layout
• Set applications as favorites for quick access (marked with a star icon)
• Set a default startup application that launches automatically (marked with a startup icon)
• Search for specific applications using the search bar at the top
• Access application options via long-press or menu button (set as startup, about, etc.)
• Scan QR codes to get applications using the floating QR code button
• Access the Dev-Hub to create or modify applications

The Dev-Hub is your development environment where you can create and modify applications. It offers the following tools:

Main Dev-Hub Tools

• Create New: Start a new application project from scratch
• Modify: Edit an existing application
• Delete: Remove applications you no longer need
• Publish: Share your application with others
• Import: Import applications from external sources
• Export: Export your applications for backup or sharing
• Settings: Configure development environment settings
• App Hub: Return to the App-Hub to manage your applications

Creating a New Project

1. From the Dev-Hub, tap "Create new"
2. Enter a name for your project
3. Select a template or start with a blank project
4. Choose orientation (portrait or landscape)
5. Configure additional settings as needed

Main Development Interface

The main development interface consists of:

• Top header with device connection status
• Design/Preview mode toggle
• Component editing tools at the bottom
• Properties panel for configuring selected elements

Design Tools

• Add Action: Link components to actions and events
• Advertisement Filter: Configure settings for non-connectable devices
• Trigger Events: Set up event triggers for components
• Properties: Customize appearance and behavior of components
• Movement: Position elements precisely on the screen
• Z-Index: Control which elements appear on top of others

Working with Pages

• Create multiple pages for your application
• Set default pages and navigation between them
• Manage page properties including background color and layout
• Assign icons to pages for easy identification

Device Scanner

NexEra provides a comprehensive device scanner with two main sections:

Connectable Devices

• List of possible connections with signal strength
• Able to connect to Bluetooth devices
• Explore device services and characteristics
• Search for specific devices by name or address
• Supports offline mode for development without devices
• Quick reconnect option for device connections

Non-Connectable Devices

• List of possible BLE devices with signal strength
• Filter devices by name, address, or signal strength
• Add multiple non-connectable devices to your project

Action Management

• Set up actions for elements to respond to user interactions
• Configure bus actions for data transfer

Component Properties

• Customize appearance (colors, sizes, fonts)
• Configure behavior (visibility, enabled state)

Saving and Exporting

• View logs for debugging and troubleshooting
• Export your application for distribution
• Backup your projects to prevent data loss

• Lock elements in place once you're satisfied with their position
• Save frequently to avoid losing your work
• Test your application in Preview mode before finalizing
• Use the screenshot feature to document your application
• Check logs when troubleshooting connectivity issues
• Ensure Bluetooth and Location services are enabled for proper device scanning
